The foam hopper is always a favorite of mine in terrestrial season here in Maryland. And this simple pattern, loosely based on Bill’s Hopper from the Federation of Fly Fishers “Pattern Encyclopedia,” has been one of my most productive flies.

- Underbody: Crystal flash
- Wing: Deer hair, natural
- Legs: Rubber, any color
