Fly Tying the Montreal (Classic Winged Wet Fly Pattern)

Created in the mid-1800s by Peter Cowen of Quebec, Canada, this classic winged wet fly has truly stood the test of time. Hugely popular in North America as well as the U.K. from 1850 through the early 1900s. While it’s no longer as popular, it is still tied and fished today.
